Can Holding was founded by a team of seasoned industry professional with over 135 years of combined experience in all phases of the maritime sphere. As a start, I would like to give you a briefing about each member at Can Holding.

To sum up, we at Can Holding are third generation serving the trading and shipping industry and have been working as traders, ship-owners, ship-operators and charterers.

Our head office is in Sharjah and we have an exclusive agent in Egypt. Generally, Can Holding services five main areas. These services are Freight Forwarding (FF), Technical Management, commercial management, consultancy, and Trading.

Capt. Adel Sabet, Executive advisor to the board, has been one of the main players in the shipping industry. Graduated from Egyptian Navy in the 60’s. Capt. Sabet has over Fifty years of experience in international dry bulk & tanker chartering, technical management, on executive level, business development, sale and purchase, new construction contracting, M&A and shipping agencies. He is experienced in the development and implementation of corporate strategic plans in the tanker and dry bulk industries and has held senior management roles in three of the industry’s largest, publicly listed shipping firms.

Aly Sabet, Director, graduated from Richmond (American University in London). A shipping executive with over twenty years of experience in international shipping markets, fifteen of which at Commercial Director level, has significant international experience and an extensive network of relationships and expertise across the shipping spectrum from shipboard operations to the public markets. In his current role he represents the interests of a group of international shipping companies and investors providing oversight of the refined petroleum product, chemical and dry bulk markets. He develops and executes commercial strategy for the deployment of tanker assets in the Medium Range category worldwide.
